Laurel Johnson

I grew up in the beautiful valley of the North Thompson in British Columbia. My hometown of Clearwater is the gateway to the famous Wells Grey Park and the iconic Helmcken Falls.

Painting in oils since the age of 12, I am a self-taught artist painting iconic places in Canada and in Ecuador, where my husband and I resided the past 10 years. My husband and I were invited to show our work at the City Gate Art Gallery in Loja. Although predominately a landscape artist, I also enjoy portrait painting, en plein air, and doing commissions.

Presently, I am doing a mentorship under Samuel Earp, a landscape artist of NZ.
